The Gettysburg Cookie Co. was founded by partners and friends Judy Morley and Kathleen Sibley.
Both ordained ministers, they sought an unconventional avenue to uplift and inspire people.
Judy has always loved to bake.
In 1998, she had Stage IV cancer. She also had a 4-year-old daughter who still wanted her mom to bake cookies, cupcakes, and other sweet treats. Judy learned to experiment with real, all-natural ingredients so she could make the treats her daughter wanted without the processed food she couldn’t eat.
Obviously, Judy made it through her experience and continued to bake. She got the idea for the Gettysburg Cookie Company in 2022, but with several other businesses, she didn’t have the capital to invest.
Enter Kathleen
She immediately saw the potential to spread joy through cookies, and invested the initial capital to get things rolling. Kathleen also used her quick wit and clever word play to come up with several of the cookie names. She was, of course, always a willing taste tester.
Today, Judy and Kathleen want you to relax more, worry less, and enjoy the sweetness of life. Have a cookie!
